Like a lot of the bands on this bill, I'd never heard of The Band of Heathens before. Not because I don't keep up with music, but, rather, because their side of the music world is dark and mysterious and, often time, none to inviting for me. The Band of Heathers is a blues rock and roll jam(ish) band made up of a handful of guys who seem to just be playing the music they love simply because they love the rock and roll. They had a country twang to them that was honestly not too prevasive, but still fairly prominante. It was like feel good bar music. Again, really not my thing, but it seemed like they knew what they were doing, and they certainly seemed to be having a good time. The audience was eating it up too, so it's not like normal folks don't get a kick out of it. I'm just a weirdo I guess :). Lovely chaps all around.
