I do have to say I wasn't expecting much from Ok Go. I was never a huge fan, though a few of my friends have spoken their praises in the face of the band's outrageous rise to fame (which is as much happenstance as anything else), claiming that the band's songwriting ability is actually fairly impressive. My imagination was blocked by treadmills, lets say. Taking the stage was not a band full of gimmicks, but a fully grown songwriting group of gentlemen. They were still indie pop rock, but it did have more substance to it than I had initially expected. I was not blown away, but my mind has forever been changed concerning Ok Go.
